The user is free to define physical properties such as mass and load and material properties such as Poissons ratio and Young's modulus. Any of the results calculated from the Static Analysis can be displayed graphically.
Static analysis is performed at two defined speeds: a notional zero (idle) speed and a specified design speed. Calculations include stab torques, forces at contacts and pivots, eccentricities, radius of curvature, contact stresses, oil film thickness, mechanism-specific displacements, velocities and accelerations.
The results can be displayed either in textual or graphical form. Graphical formats include x-y line plots, polar plots or bar chart displays. The internal Fourier analysis routines provide listings of harmonic content of the lift and derivatives for spectral based design decisions.
A summary of the main results can be displayed showing minimum and maximum values compared with user defined limits. This table is automatically updated as the profile, mechanism dimensions or static properties are changed, providing visual assessment of model changes.
