Options exist to model either single or nested springs, mechanical or hydraulic tappets, and specific tappet types such as the cam profile switching (CPS) tappet. A bespoke time-marching solver ensures rapid run times are achieved with no requirements for an external 3rd party software solver.
Calculations can be carried out at either a fixed valve train operating speed, over a staircase of multiple speed points, or over a range of continuously increasing/decreasing speed.
