The four available mechanism templates cover the majority of conventional valve train systems. Template types are 'Direct Acting', 'Centre Pivot Rocker', 'Finger Follower' and 'Push Rod'. The dynamic analysis mode enables both mechanical of hydraulic tappets to be simulated. Single- or twin-coil mechanical spring models are available, together with a gas spring model which includes mass transfer and variable gas properties.
