To extend the capability of Lotus Concept Valve Train a 1-D dynamic analysis module now provides an insight into the dynamic response of a multi-mass system to a prescribed camshaft input.
The dynamic modelling facility is presented in an interactive environment that is used for both data entry and display of results. The dynamic models can be created directly from the currently defined static data, providing rapid model generation mechanism.
All calculated results for links and masses can be displayed on screen during the calculation or listed/plotted once the run is complete.
Overall summary plots for items such as seating force, valve bounce, spring surge and tappet leakage can also be simply and quickly produced.
