To take the toil out of setting up silencer and catalyst models Lotus Engine Simulation uses the concept of Super-Elements. These elements act as interfaces for a translator which converts the specified geometry into an equivalent pipe-network model. Pipe end effects can be added via default options or entered directly by the user.
