What is the purpose of SoftRank?
SoftScout.com aims to help organizations locate and select business software. We understand this is a very complex task, especially with the vast number of software products available.
SoftRank broadly sorts software products by estimated market popularity. Ideally, the best solutions have found their way to the most customers. SoftRank also sorts software based upon the information provided by the vendor in their SoftScout listing. Listings that have been updated recently and provide more information (features, screenshots, etc.) will have a higher SoftRank.
What SoftRank is not
SoftRank does not identify the best solution for your business. Features and functionality, industry focus, support networks, price, etc. all play an important role in selecting business software. Products that are considered "niche" or have a smaller install base will have a lower SoftRank. However, these products may be exactly what you are looking for.
SoftRank is not a quality measure - it doesn't identify "good" or "bad" software. SoftScout does not install or review the software listed on this site.
What determines a product’s SoftRank?
We do! :)
SoftRank is determined through the use of a custom algorithm that combines statistics gathered from our site, external research, as well as the quality and completeness of information published on SoftScout. We do not publish the exact calculations to prevent artificial manipulation.
If you feel a product is incorrectly ranked, send an email to info@softscout.com with a subject of ‘SoftRank Review’. Please include the softscout URL of the product and links to publicly available customer lists, case studies, reviews, etc. that support your claim. We review these requests monthly.
