Quantum is ideal for all businesses where the emphasis is on the provision of services rather than inventory management. Quantum takes the guess-work out of the installation and implementation process by interaction with the “Quantum Set-up Assistant” which pre-qualifies the transactions and checks balances during the set-up process prior to going live.

THE QUANTUM DOCUMENT DESIGNER



The Quantum Document Designer enables you to format key documents such as invoices, packing slips, statements and labels. Whether it is simply moving the layout around to suit a particular form or adding your company logo, the Quantum Document Designer gives you the flexibility to maintain the highest standards of presentation in your financial documents.





TIME AND COST



The Quantum Time and Cost module provides you with the facilities to keep track of the time spent, disbursements incurred and services supplied whilst undertaking work for your clients. The Quantum Time and Cost module enables you to create “events” with a client file and track activity within these events including invoiced and un-invoiced (WIP) transactions and where circumstances dictate – write-offs. DESKTOP TIME KEEPER



The Quantum Desktop Timekeeper is a purpose specific standalone application designed to be used either in conjunction with Quantum or with third party products to record activity or project based elapsed time and optionally materials/expenses. The application features a user defined interface that enables the screen-display to include only the fields relevant to the operator. The application automatically records elapsed time by way of a stopwatch style analogue or digital interface. The DTK is designed to be used by organisations that need to track time and costs for internal management, back-costing or fee recovery purposes. The DTK updates Quantum (or third party application) by way of the DTK server. Transactions initiated in the DTK are collated in Quantum where they can be written up/down and invoiced or allocated to internal cost centres.

TECHNICAL DATA



Quantum API

The Quantum Application Programming Interface is designed to enable third party applications to read and write directly to the Quantum database whilst at the same time retaining the highest level of data integrity. Unlike the Data Interchange module which requires data to be prepared in a fixed range of formats the API allows seamless interaction between the third party application and Quantum.



Quantum Data Interchange module

This module is designed to enable master-files and transactions to be seamlessly transferred from and to Quantum. The format of these transactions may be selected by the user and includes: text, CSV, Excel, DIF, dBase. This functionality provides opportunities to integrate Quantum with third party applications, for example weigh stations, VMA (Vertical Market Applications) such as industry specific medical or legal practice software and all of the commonly used Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Access. Data Interchange functionality will be further enhanced with the release of the Quantum API.



Help systems

Quantum includes a comprehensive and easily understood context sensitive help system. When navigating Quantum immediate access to this system is available simple by pressing F1.

Quantum Software Systems Ltd was established in 1993 to develop a service industry specific suite of accounting software. Initially Quantum was developed for the DOS environment and then re-written to accommodate Windows and an embedded SQL or user supplied database.
