It comes with the;GFOA's "blue book" chart of accounts already set up and the user;just changes it to match the client's accounts. The product has been;designed so that the user doesn't have to define every account number;in the chart of accounts. Just set up the basic financial statements;(balance sheet, operating statement and proprietary operating;statement, if active) and specify the minimum and maximum of the;accounts which apply to each line. The default notes to the financial;statements are set up for a Texas city in regard to pension plans,;etc., but may be edited by the user.;The printed output of the program need not be keyed into another;program; it is produced in a very attractive format which is ready;to be copied and bound. Example reports are available on request.;Although ALG will not handle not-for-profit entities nor will it;automatically produce the special supplemental schedules which may be;required by some states, our automated page numbering system allows;for easy insertion of documents produced with other programs.
