Separating messaging from core applications

ProSwitch supports mission-critical applications in major banks throughout Europe. ProSwitch users are constantly re-defining the limits of ProSwitch's capabilities. New functionality, additional interfaces and value-added services are incorporated in each new release.
SWIFT messaging, including Merva™ replacement
While ProSwitch is being used by several banks for handling a variety of other types of messages and files, the processing of SWIFT messages is the common denominator for allProSwitch users.
Several large European institutions have recently implemented ProSwitch as their messaging platform. Several successful implementation projects involving the replacement of Merva™ have been achieved. Flexible functions for routing, distribution, monitoring, archiving and message entry are fully covered by ProSwitch, allowing a bank to have full control over its message flow at all times.
The ProSwitch SWIFTNet Connectivity component provides an efficient and secure 'highway' to SWIFTNet services for high-volume users. In addition to providing a reliable framework for accessing the SWIFTNet service for FIN messages, the solution facilitates access to other SWIFTNet services, such as FileAct and InterAct. For the InterAct service, ProSwitch has proved its capabilities in an Investment Funds pilot project, where XML messages are exchanged via the InterAct service.
The SWIFTNet connectivity solution is constantly being updated to meet market requirements, such as SWIFTNet Phase 2 and Relationship Management.
File handling, including EBA STEP2 and Eurogiro
A fully automated solution for EBA STEP2 bulk payments has been added as a component to the ProSwitch framework. It includes functions for automated bulking/de-bulking, reconciliation, accounting, discrepancy handling and communication with EBA via the FileAct service. A mass payment service for MT102+ is also a standard feature in ProSwitch. ProSwitch fully supports Eurogiro formats and Eurogiro file handling features.
ProSwitch also offers capabilities for generic file management, including reception, format administration and processing of other types of files. Thus, ProSwitch can also act as a central file administration system for files from corporate customers or other financial institutions.
ProClaims
The ProClaims component provides functions for exceptions and investigations handling, where a bank can establish and maintain a central dossier of messages and events related to particular investigations.
With TietoEnator’s active involvement in the Exception and Investigations working group in SWIFT, ProClaims is expanding to benefit fully of the new XML-based message standards.
