Accounts Receivable Check Conversion
Accounts Receivable Conversion (ARC) provides a way to get more money on deposit quicker at lower costs. Since ARC converts information from the MICR line on eligible checks, ARC can be implemented in an image or non-image environment.
For customers who process a minimum of one million consumer checks per year, ARC is a proven way to accelerate the collection process while reducing the cost and time to process each deposit and returned item, and decreasing float and risk. For many clients, the increase in funds availability alone justifies the investment in ARC.

Additional Product Information
The ARC Conversion solution developed by JB Software builds on 20 years of innovation in payment processing. The convertible can be separated from the non-convertible items as early as Pass 1 through a database lookup. This ensures that converted transactions get to the ODFI without delay. The database can be set up as “opt out,” containing stub account numbers of those who have elected not to have their transactions converted. The database includes R/T numbers and other business rules that can be used to identify and exclude items not eligible for conversion under NACHA guidelines. The system interfaces with all ARC-eligible databases, and also processes administrative and hard returns.
By implementing ARC you:
•Improve operational efficiency
•Lower deposit fees and other per-item costs
•Reduce fraud, credit risk and losses
•Decrease return items. Achieve faster and more predictable returns.
•Improve funds availability
•Extend deposit window
