The SPUDMAN is the newest version of produce sales software that has been in use since 1982. While effective at selling any produce, it is particularly helpful to potato shippers since it allows pricing by the unit (carton) or by the cwt (hundredweight). Delivered loads are supported printing only the delivered price on the invoice, but allowing entry of the produce price (F.O.B.) plus the freight rate. An optional SALES INVENTORY (floor inventory) shows packed produce ready for shipment, plus promised amounts on unfilled orders. A very handy sales tool showing the salesman just what he has, and a useful tool for showing what must be packed out to fill future orders. A BAG & BOX INVENTORY helps packing operations control the complex array of preprinted cartons and poly bags, along with supplies like balers, pallets, etc. BULK GROWER INVENTORY keeps the packer appraised of supplies of bulk produce by bin, grower, and variety. GROWER ACCOUNTING is complete, printing grower checks, showing past sales, allowing packing charges and misc. charges. The grower settlement includes sales analysis by variety and month, with grade analysis by variety. All modules integrate with General Ledger, and can operate in accrual or cash modes. A sophisticated payroll is available with special handling of aliens, even including W2's on disk for larger operations.
