ENGDYN is a compete simulation environment for analyzing the dynamics of the engine and powertrain. It provides an environment for 3D, time domain, non-linear dynamic, coupled analysis of the crankshaft and cylinder block system.;It incorporates crankshaft gyroscopics together with a nonlinear oil-film model allowing for bearing rotation and translation. Any general reciprocating engine can be represented and multiple levels of model and analysis resolution are available. In its simplest form it can simulate a statically-determinate solution, whilst in its most sophisticated form it can predict the time-domain response of the 3D vibration of the coupled crank train and cylinder block system with nonlinear oil-films at each of the bearings.;This flexibility enables the user to generate an engine model to perform the solution to meet your needs, ENGDYN is modular and the level of sophistication is in the user's hands.;ENGDYN comes equipped with a comprehensive but ever-growing suite of analysis and post-processing tools.
