GT-POWER is a 1-D engine simulation, used for analysis of engine performance and acoustics. It is the most widely used engine simulation tool, used by practically all engine and vehicle makers and most engine consulting companies.
Its main advantages are the broad range of capabilities, ease of use, and the tight integration with the rest of GT-SUITE, which give it a "virtual engine" perspective. It is designed for steady-state as well as transient simulations. It is applicable to all types of I.C. engines, with applicability to most advanced concepts. Its usefulness is further expanded by integration with 3rd party products such as STAR-CD, Fluent, Simulink and MS/Excel. It is available as a standalone tool, as well as integrated with GT-DRIVE (powertrain and vehicle simulation) as GT-POWERV.
GT-POWER is a part of GT-SUITE, which is an integrated set of CAE tools for design and analysis of engines, powertrains and vehicles.
