GT-SUITE is an integrated set of CAE tools for design and analysis of engines, powertrains and vehicles. GT-SUITE is the far-away market leader, being used by many leading engine and vehicle manufacturers.
GT-SUITE currently contains the following applications:
GT-POWER engine simulation for performance, acoustics and control,
GT-DRIVE powertrain and vehicle simulation, analysis of driving cycles and driveline component dynamics,
GT-VTRAIN valvetrain kinematics, dynamics and tribology,
GT-COOL engine heat management and cooling system analysis,
GT-FUEL injection system pressure and flow dynamics, and
GT-CRANK bottom end dynamics, engine shaking, crankshaft analysis.
All of these applications can be combined to form integrated tools ("virtual engine/powertrain/vehicle"); all codes are launched from a common GUI, used also for all pre-processing and graphical post-processing, which are identical to all simulations; object-based data structure reduces user effort; contains a completely general optimizer; operates on Windows and on UNIX; coupled with STAR-CD, 3-D CFD code from Computational Dynamics Ltd.; coupled with control system software SIMULINK (Mathworks); input and output is integrated with MS EXCEL; users routines can be incorporated.
