Additional Product Information
Motive Power Tech increases the amount of billable work produced by each technician or mechanic in a service and repair business. Each worker gets a screen with their name prominently displayed. The basic screen shows the jobs that are assigned to that particular worker. Work is displayed in the order that jobs have been promised to customers. Each job shows the average amount of time allotted for that operation. If the worker knows what to do, they can simply click the start button when they choose which job to do next. If they need more information, they can open the job and read the details.
Each field on the face of a work order has write, edit and delete priviledges controlled by the combination of user name and password. Lower level workers may be limited to reading the work order. Top level workers may be able to change anything on a work order and may be able to choose their own work from the list of unassigned jobs. Workers only see the unassigned jobs that match their skill set.
Workers indicate when a particular job or complete work order is finished. In house comments fields pass information between service writers and techs. Service writers can also attach verbal descriptions of symptoms, digital photos, and technical information like specifications and diagnostic procedures to the work order to save time for the technicians.
