Additional Product Information
Hundreds of users worldwide, including the Port Authority of NY & NJ, New Tokyo Airport and Hong Kong Airport, use AutoTURN Aircraft to assist in gate planning and design, monitor jet blast exhaust contours at terminal areas, adjust apron space, check aircraft clearances, analyze taxiway traffic and plan airport terminal layouts.
Major consulting firms such as HNTB, URS Corp., and Michael Baker Jr., use AutoTURN Aircraft in the planning and design of new airport runways, taxiways and aprons as well as evaluation and improvement of existing areas.
A sampling of what’s new in version 5:
Speed-based oversteer option gives a more realistic representation of how an aircraft negotiates oversteered conditions (assumes standard speed-based steer rates) e.g. when parking an aircraft along lead-in lines or defining space requirements at runway-to-taxiway intersections
Offset path option gives users the ability to create aircraft simulations that maintain minimum lateral clearances, for example ICAO guidelines for minimum wheel clearance from taxiway or pavement clearances and required fillets at taxiway-to-taxiway intersections
Turning template creation tool gives users the ability to create customized templates for standard or custom aircraft or vehicle for any sweep turn angle (0 - 180 deg), useful for evaluating required power-out turn requirements (i.e. wingspan envelopes)
Reverse corner simulation option simplifies and significantly shortens the process of creating reverse aircraft maneuvers. No more tedious experimenting!
New and updated aircraft from Airbus and Boeing. Also includes new commuter and Russian aircraft
Sweep angle selector tool automatically identifies turning angles for forward and reverse maneuvers
Many more…
