VDE+Images is for rapid and accurate data entry from paper or images, especially where documents are unstructured or arrive in unpredictable order, such as wholesale lockbox and land title records. VDE+Images is a data entry software solution that speeds keying and increases the accuracy of information entered from images.
Unlike other imaging data entry systems, VDE+Images is designed specifically for imaging applications where the location of the data is not predictable, either because the documents do not have a standard format or because there are a variety of forms that arrive in random order. With VDE+Images, the operator quickly and easily manipulates the image in order to locate and key the appropriate data. Hot keys let operators zoom, move, rotate and invert images with a single keystroke.
VDE+Images is unique in that it allows information to be stored in the most logical and useful way, instead of automatically generating one record for each image. With VDE+Images, there are unlimited possibilities for relationships between data records and images. A data record can contain information from one image or multiple images. There can also be more than one data record generated for each image. It is even possible to obtain pre-existing information from other databases and relate it to the images or combine it with the keyed data.
VDE+Images provides this flexibility because it is batch-oriented, rather than transaction-oriented. Each batch of images is subdivided into logical groupings, such as a check and a series of invoices, or all the documents pertaining to a particular real estate transaction. This orientation allows on-line batch balancing and crossfoot checks, which increase data accuracy. Additionally, users can back up to the beginning of a group of documents or jump forward to the end of the group with just one keystroke, a particularly useful feature when there is a variable number of documents in each group or processing needs to be accomplished in stages.
