Additional Product Information

The Basic Get to Work! Unit : The Work Order; All jobs are tracked using electronic Work Order forms. You can easily see exactly what stage each job is in, what work has been performed and remains to be completed, time and materials, billing, project status, task assignments and more. Work Orders provide a convenient, intuitive way of looking at the work to be done. Each Work Order document has a certain status and billing type. This information is used to track progress and billings throughout the life of the Work Order. ;Each Work Order has a billing type. When a work item is composed it obtains the default billing type specified for that Client. This billing type may be overridden as appropriate when the work item is composed. The billing type is used by the work logs to denote how these logs should be billed. Some of the possible billing types for work items are: Hourly, Service Contract, or Quoted Price which denote, respectively, an hourly billing rate, a work order stemming from a periodic service contract, or a fixed price agreement. ;Service Logs;Service Logs specify some work that has been completed. Service Logs may be stand-alone or they may have a parent Work Order. Each person working on a job fills out an electronic Service Log for time, and/or a Voucher for materials. The hours and materials indicated in the Service Logs roll-up into a progress table in the parent Work Order form.;The Problem Report Form and Request for Services Form; The Problem Report and Request for Services forms identify a particular problem to be addressed or service to be performed. These forms are particularly convenient because most initial points of contact for work are either a client problem or project work request. One of these two forms usually initiates the workflow.;The Work Order Form;A Work Order form identifies an item of work to be performed. It is more powerful than the Problem Report or Request for Services in that it supports scheduling and progress tracking. Very often, Problem Reports or Request for Services that require scheduling and progress tracking are converted into Work Orders. Work Orders also support facilities for sales quotes and customer approval as well as a facility for time line management.;The Project and Task forms;Projects and Tasks are useful when a number of employees work on the same work item. These forms support a task dependency and time-line management facility that is more sophisticated than the Work Order facilities. ;Views and Reports; In addition to viewing Work Orders, Problem Reports, Service Requests and Projects (by Task), Get to Work! allows you to view All Activity by Client, Billings, Project Timelines and each individual's currently active tasks (useful for seeing "what's on my plate today?").
