With support now available for unattended and wireless environments, Smart-Switch provides multi-channel retailers with a common platform and strategy across all store channels. Additional applications, such as loyalty, E-Top-Up or E-Gift, can also be supported and easily added.
Smart-Switch was the world’s first EMV level 2 accredited Chip & PIN software for use at the checkout and in-store, and has been certified to the EMV 3.1.1, 4.0 and 4.1 standards (and always at the first attempt) It enables retailers to accept both Chip & PIN Cards and magnetic stripe cards. The market leading Smart-Switch offers industry leading transaction speeds, allowing retailers to serve customers more quickly and avoid queues at the till.
The multi-award winning Smart-Switch integrates and connects via standard interfaces (APIs) to all elements of the EPOS Solution – card readers, PIN pad, POS software, a retailer’s own applications and to an on-line authorisation system. This integration avoids the need for dual keying of sales amounts and provides consolidated management information.
The Smart-Switch architecture provides complete hardware and platform independence, ensuring that investments in Chip & PIN are future proofed. Retailers have the flexibility to use hardware from different vendors, eliminating dependence on a single supplier.
