Unlike other off-the shelf mapping packages, Territory Mapper is designed to map and realign sales territories, franchise areas, distribution zones, or any other geographically defined areas. Other low-end off-the-shelf products such as MAPLINX and BusinessMap attempt to address these needs but fall short in both ease-of-use and functionality. The higher end products such as MapInfo and ArcInfo address the application but in a round about way often requiring a lengthy learning curve and forcing the user to write programs or custom macros to perform simple tasks.
