Winnebago Spectrum is a 32-bit, fully integrated library automation system from Sagebrush Corporation. Spectrum is a true cross-platform program, allowing multi-tasking and multi-windows on both Windows and Macintosh systems. Spectrum integrates catalog searching, circulation, cataloging, inventory, report generation, and other functions into one complete system. Spectrum WebConnect, incorporated into Spectrum, enables patrons to search cataloged websites, documents, pictures, and other files directly from the search stations (cataloged in the 856u field of the MARC record). Spectrum also has several add-on programs that include Spectrum Web Catalog, which allows patrons to search the library collections at anytime, from anywhere via the Internet; Z39.50 client and server programs which allow the exchange of MARC records and bibliographic references between libraries; and Cross-Reference Words Database which makes subject searches successful and accurate with four volumes of the Library of Congress MARC 21 subject headings.
