VU
VU is a scientific visualization software for the display and analysis of numerical solutions. It is used for exploring and interpreting results from simulation programs or experimental measurements. It finds applications in fluid mechanics, civil engineering, applied mathematics, manufacturing, injection molding, combustion, structures, computational chemistry, etc. VU is available on Linux, UNIX (AIX, IRIX, HP-UX, Compaq Tru64, Solaris), and on MacOSX.

Additional Product Information
VU offers advanced functions, such as the monitoring and the steering of ongoing computations: results from a solver can be visualized directly on the machine where the computations are taking place, or automatically transferred to another workstation for remote visualization.
Features:
- Animation using 3D images instead of projections, to study transient, phenomena, to follow the evolution of an adaptive mesh or to illustrate, the parametric study of the solution
- Personalized configuration (menus, image components, points of, view). Multiple configuration files restore the user environment between, successive sessions, and help another user to visualize one's data easily
- File access through the http, ftp and vu protocols.
- VU file format and translators for CGNS, DXF, Fluent, FAST, Ideas, Iges, Nastran, Patran, PLOT3D, ProCast, StarCD, STEP, STL, TASCflow, Tecplot, VTK, etc.
- AIX, IRIX, HP-UX, Compaq Tru64, Solaris, Linux, MacOSX
- Integrated in VR environments
- Stereo mode using shutter glasses,
- Manual, tutorial and help on line
- French, English, and Spanish menus
