Additional Product Information

The unidirectional CATMI interface guarantees convenient and optimum data transfer between the HP system ME-10 and CATIA. The principle behind MI files was developed by Hewlett Packard in order to enable ME10 drawings to be loaded to other CAD systems. In the MI format data is presented in legible ASCII format, this enables to convert it from one program to another. The interface is oriented towards industry standard MI by Hewlett Packard.;;The interface can be operated on IBM RS/6000 (AIX) workstations both via a Motif user interface and in the background as a batch process. During the transfer of data the progress of every conversion within the CATMI control monitor is documented. In terms of transmission direction MI to CATIA the user can select the elements to be transferred via comfortable selection criteria. Furthermore when generating a CATIA drawing from a MI file both a new drawing can be generated as well as a basic model in which company-specific norms are taken into consideration.;;The advantages of this application are tremendous: The customer can continue to use the HP system under CATIA without any restrictions. The structural and geometric data of transferred drawings can be remained and can be reworked in the target system.;;The functions in the overall view ;;Direct transmission of HP ME-10-data in CATIA ;Comprehensive protocol of geometric transmission ;Processing in the batch operation also with job lists ;Free selection of transfer logic ;Operation of the interface via Motif-Menu ;Optionally interactive operation from CATIA ;Check run before transmission is possible ;Maintenance of the element types in the target system ;Maintenance of structuring in the target system ;Selective transmission (element types) ;
