CS/TOOL by CIMx Company

3.98 - What's this?

CS/TOOL successfully bridges the gap between PC-based low-end tool management systems and expensive, hard to maintain main-frame based systems by providing a hardware independent system. CS/TOOL utilizes Oracle and Oracle forms technology, it's client software is available on all client systems that support Oracle including PCs running MS-Windows 95 or NT. It can utilize any server that supports Oracle from PCs through mainframes. CS/TOOL also uses Oracle Reports for the ultimate in data viewing and formatting. CS/TOOL gives you true control of tooling and assets with a simple-to-use multi-user system that can span numerous cribs (locations) and provide total integration to other manufacturing applications. CS/TOOL integrates with all of CIMx Manufacturing Data Management Software (MDM) so the same tooling data is accessible via object sharing. This means data is shared, not copied, across applications from a common database. CS/TOOL increases productivity with better tracking capabilities, increases tool quality by closing the gap between the crib and the calibration lab, reduces manufacturing costs and unnecessary storage space, and is simple to own and maintain. CS/TOOL offers the user the ability to use a touchscreen or barcode reader for easiest and most efficient interface ever.

Users can search for , data objects by any defined attribute (ie: corner angle, number of flutes, shank type, shank diameter, , etc.). GTCS consists of:, GTCS Classification Builder, This application module provides the system user the ability to define a multi-level tree structure , (taxonomy) which will be used to organize the data objects into discrete, significant groupings. These , groupings are called families and are used to support both classification and data retrieval (database , searching). Additionally, the module provides for the definition of data attributes for each grouping , (family) that are also utilized for classification and data retrieval. , GTCS User , CS/TOOL has been modified to include a specific functional capability to access the GTCS Classification , Builder with appropriate parameters and controls. Tool class objects can be classified via a functional , icon on the property sheet. This invokes the GTCS so the tool entity can be classified and the information , stored in the database. This data includes the selections made through the classification system, the resultant, family, and the specific attribute data entered by the user., Additionally, the CS/TOOL application has been enhanced to provide the user the capability of using the GT information , for database searches and data retrieval. Through GTCS, a user inputs a tool search profile, search controls and execution , of the data retrieval. This functionality can be utilized at numerous points in the application.
