Protect is a standalone unit. Access is provided either by standard monitor, keyboard and mouse or by Ethernet or by modem. Typically access will be via a Desktop computer running Windows® and using an Ethernet connection. In this way Protect may be configured and set to work, thereafter Protect may be left unattended to collect and store data to its internal disk and to perform continuous alarm checks. Protect provides a number of alarm relays which may be used to shutdown machine operation without further user interaction should high vibration conditions be detected.
