WiPS is an enterprise wide software solution that tracks from the grape contract to bottling of the final blend.In between grapes are received,crushed,fermented into wine,cellared and aged. The many processes,treatments,experiments,movements,cost additions and chemical analyses are tracked. , The system has ten key modules that are tightly integrated: GRAPE ACQUISITION, WINEMAKING PROCESS, COMPUTER GENERATED WORK ORDERS, LABORATORY ANALYSIS, INTENDED USE AND TRIAL BLEND, BARREL MANAGEMENT, ADDITIVE USAGE, COST ACCOUNTING, GOVERNMENT COMPLIANCE and WiPS Data Store., WiPS is in use by some of the largest corporate wineries in California and around the world. , WiPS is developed using Computer Associates COOL 2E and runs on IBM's, iSeries application server(formerly AS/400). It is Y2K compliant.
