Integrated modules allow users to enter prospects and follow them through the sales and installation process, while generating quotations that later become work orders for billing customers. When the prospect becomes a customer, the information previously entered is used without re-keying or copying of data to create the basic information needed for monitoring the account. Additional information is simply added to the existing data to define zones, call lists, schedules and service requirements. The work orders created in marketing or data entry can be used to track work-in-process and to provide job cost information. The billing portion of the system contains the functionality for paperless collection efforts.;SBN_Select Edition uses a relational database. This allows data to be stored in a single location, and in turn, means that a data change can be made in one place for access by the entire system. This also allows information from different modules to be displayed on the same screen or report, such as displaying the customer's outstanding balance on the customer service screen. Since data is not duplicated, it requires far less disk space and reduces overhead costs by eliminating use of server time and resources needed for copying data between modules.
