The ePulse Applications Manager is an n-tier trading applications management product designed to meet a number of Straight Through Processing (STP) and Operational Risk management requirements. Specificaly it has the capability to monitor complete global trading operations from either business or IT operations perspective.
IT can monitor either individual applications or monitor and report against full trade lifecycle events. Management visibility of trading activities is vital from the compliance and regulatory reporting perspective. Incomplete or broken trades can be minimised through powerful alerts management and trade repair capabilities.
eAM is a complementary product to the ePulse Messenger in order to provide a complete Order Flow Management application suite for trading in the OTC and commodities makets. The complete suite is made up of:

The ePulse Applications Manager product consists of the following components:
Host Services (for Windows NT, Linux & Unix)
Market Data Platform Service (RMDS, Triarch, TIB, TRS). These services collect information at regular intervals or on demand and return the information to the Central Event Collector.

The main advantage that the product includes is the use of the latest technologies to provide a flexible and extensible architecture.
Based on ePulse Information Exchange (ePiX) framework, Application Management provides the foundation for integrating monitoring services of disparate systems and third-party applications. ePiX is an C++ and Java toolkit for XML that provides functions such as session management, multi-threading, process management, event services and adaptors. By developing adaptors to different operating systems and applications, the collated information can be communicated within simple XML documents using Document Type Definitions (DTDs) protocols.
