Additional Product Information
As with its predecessors, CCH2000 boasts the most compleet dataset for computerised Child Health Care applications and is further supplemented with new features including a 'Child Health Protection' module and 'Developmental Milestones'. Using ORACLE RDBMS on a Windows NT platform, the system provides great flexibility in hardware choice and will consequently lead to greatly reduced running costs.;Despite the rise in competition from commercial suppliers, the HSW Child Health product still commands more than 50% of the market share in England and Wales and is widely regarded as 'best of breed'. With the interest already expressed in the new product, it is expected that HSW will at least maintain its market share but are quietly confident of increasing their share.;With the experience of Child Health within HSW and a much more flexible product, responding to user and statutory changes will be quicker and more efficient. Such was the case with the introduction of the new immunisations for Meningitis C. Recording of results commenced in October 1999, with full scheduling of appointments available in November 1999. Additionally, an interface to a major Community system has already been developed and several more are planned, including materity, GP and A&E systems.
