Data Collection: Care Enterprise can streamline and improve the data collection process in various healthcare settings. The data collection process is strongly integrated with the business rules engine to improve the validity of the data collected. Care Enterprise’s forms library includes over hundred different forms to collect administrative, financial and clinical data pertaining to both provider and payor functions. The forms library incorporates the best practices of other organizations and accreditation agencies and is a great place to start implementation. Remote users can access this functionality through a web interface - Web Care or PDA - Care CE; and contracted providers can access this functionality through Web Connect.
Distribution: Collected data is automatically distributed to staff that need to act on it. This is accomplished by integration with various e-mail systems. In addition, electronic client charts can be accessed by local and remote users with the necessary permissions.
Processing: Care Enterprise offers processing capabilities for both inbound and outbound data. Processing capabilities include claims submission (X12 837 I/P), remittance processing (X12 835), eligibility verification (X12 270/271) and more. CSI has done extensive testing and preparation for HIPAA transactions and has received certification from Claredi on various transactions. In addition to processing HIPAA transactions, Care Enterprise has several tools to facilitate exchange of data with state and other regulatory agencies.
Analysis: Reporting and analysis functionality is provided through integration with Seagate Crystal Reports. This offers the flexibility needed by counties to modify or create new reports in addition to over 100 different reports included with Care Enterprise.
