As the primary compontent of a fully integrated system, HotelSoft provides software links to a number of add-on application modules for billing, accounting and condo management. HotelSoft also interfaces with a wide variety of equipment, such as Telephone Switches, Point-of-Sale systems, in-house Movie Billings and other devices. HotelSoft is completely modular and is very easy to use by clerks, reservation personnel, accounting personnel and management. New personnel can learn the system's basic functions with very little training. It is self-correcting and forgiving to the end-user. For the management staff, HotelSoft provides a large number of very powerful tools, sales-oriented reporting, and inquiry information. All of this information is easily accessed and can be exported for use by a contact management system for sales and marketing purposes. The Financial accounting add-on module, inclusive of accounts receivable, is fully integrated and provides excellent audit trails from source of entry to final reporting. As the needs of the client expands, the smaller systems can be upgraded by adding terminals or optional software modules. Competitive Advantages All of the property management systems on the market today accomplish the basic functions: reservations, check-in, check-out, statistical information, gathering, and reporting. There are some major differences, howerver, in the way the way the different systems handle all of these functions and in the way the systems are designed and being used. Ease-of-use: The ease-of-use of the HotelSoft system is a great advantage. For example, because HotelSoft is fully parameter driven and all parameters can consist of alpha/numeric identifiers, management has the freedom to design specific transaction codes which are meaningful to the hotel clerks and, therefore, are easy to use. Our customers tell us that a desk clerk becomes productive, using HotelSoft, within only a couple of hours of training. Interfacing: HotelSoft is extremely easy to interface to variouse other systems including PBX, POS, Movies, Games, Energy Management and others. In addition, we also have our own call costing system, taking the information diretly from the telephone switch and then pricing the calls. Room Rate Tables: The HotelSoft approach to room rate tables is very flexable and unique. This is another very important aspect of revenue generating. Through intelligent use of these rate tables in conjunction with yield management tools (reports provided by HotelSoft), it is instumental in extracting optimal revenue from operations. Package Processing: Our use of Packages and Inclusions are extremely flexible, easy to implement and to administrate within the system. Booking and maintaining packages has become increasingly more difficult. HotelSoft lets the user tailor their own packages and compose variations of any package during the reservations process in a very easy and efficient manner. Server Platform: The operating system platform we are using includes a combination of PC's in the Back-Office for administrating and management, and the use of inexpensive terminals for reservations, the front-office, and housekeeping with all of the data-bases being kept on a reliable server platform which is UNIX based and easily maintainable. You get the best of both worlds! None of our individually installed sites require the employment of a MIS person to maintain the system. This is an enormous cost saving! Add-on Modules GLSoft Financial Accounting GLSoft is a flexible General Ledger and Accounts Payable management system designed to produce accurate and timely financial statements and reports. GLSoft is completely compatible with all of RSI's packages. It can be integrated with the main application or opporated as a stand alone system. All of the accounting applications specifically address the challenges associated with working in a 7/24 environment as is the case in hotel property management.
