SynXis Agent is a Web-based hotel central reservation system, which also provides seamless GDS connectivity and a booking engine which can be linked to a hotel's own home page. All channels can be managed from one system, and book from the same inventory. SynXis is an Application Service Providor (ASP), and fees are on a transaction basis, with minimal start-up costs.

SynXis offers a web-based central reservation system which has the following components:, · SynXis Agent. Agent is an easy-to-use, full-featured reservation system, which can handle either one property, or an entire chain. Since the system is web browser-based, your agents can enter reservations from the hotel, from remote sales offices, from a central reservations office, or anywhere else that has Internet access., · Global Distribution System (GDS) Connectivity. With SynXis, you can now have the same visibility to travel agents as a branded hotel. SynXis is connected to all four major airline GDS' via Wizcom under the chain code YX. The system currently supports Type A connections (offering near-immediate response) to all four, and is close to introducing seamless connectivity, which allows travel agents to view the exact same availability information as your reservations agents., · Book-A-Rez. Book-A-Rez is a very easy-to-use tool which allows guests to book their own reservations over the Internet. Book-A-Rez is linked to your existing web site, using the same logo and background, so guests will not know they are accessing a third-party booking system. This Internet presence is key to your marketing efforts, because the number of Americans who've booked travel online soared by more than 80% to 11 million in the last year (Source: 1999 Travel eCommerce Survey from PhoCusWright). The survey also found that travel is the second most popular e-commerce category, with 45% of online buyers saying they've purchased travel online. It is outpaced only by books, at 54%., With SynXis, you can efficiently manage your rates and inventory for all of these channels from one secure Internet site.
