EdgePersonnel was designed by Integrated Digital Systems ("IDSS") in 2002 as an imaging and personnel management application to manage employee files and documents as well as providing web based sharing and records management, using the Xerox Docushare 2.X document repository product. EdgePersonnel provides the ability to capture, index, email, print, view, rotate, zoom, store, redact, highlight, outline, annotate, place sticky notes on, underline text, retrieve, distribute and archive records such forms, correspondence, pictures, W-2s, and other documentation with full integration into and use of ODBC compliant database product features. EdgePersonnel ships with Microsoft Access Database interconnectivity to keep it affordable and easy to use, but also provided is the capability through customization and use of the Access Wizard to migrate, store and retrieve documents using Oracle and Microsoft SQL Database products. EdgePersonnel features a single screen GUI interface to provide a simple way to use display, which does not require extensive training. IDSS anticipated the new millennium bringing about a need for a robust product to manage employee files and records which would be easy to understand yet complex enough to meet the most stringent demands. With the growing demand for records availability and accountability small businesses as well as large would eventually need to digitize these records for easy access. EdgePersonnel was designed to be flexible, open, and easily customizable to handle the demands of: Small Businesses, Large Businesses, Non-Profit Organizations, Local and Regional Personnel Departments.
