Insurers should be aware of the specific characteristics and needs of each market segment. To gain a pricing advantage, insurers have to know how many customers are prepared to pay coverage against particular risk. From the other hand brokers, agents, banks and so on are also customers of the insurance company. Their requirements should be fulfilled, their potential contribution should be maximized, and their activities should be closely controlled. To do all this, the insurance company has to obtain as much qualitative data about the final client as possible, and to keep customer?s case history.;INSIS ensures a global view about Insurance Company customers. The customer subsystem deals with all the physical and legal entities, which are real or potential customers of an Insurance company. This information about each customer provides a global view for the customer available in one screen providing a fast access to the full information per customer.;Except customers this subsystem also manages data about other counterparts appearing in the insurance process cycle. ; Agents ; Beneficiary ; Personnel ; Insurers ; Others ;The same person (physical or legal) could appear in more than one of the above roles but its personal data is kept in the system only once and role specific information is created for any instance. ;INSIS provides the feature to link any two persons with a relation and also to associate any person to a specific contract, to a specific claim, or to a specific insured object. This allows effective data validity checks to be performed and eventually to reduce errors and fraud attempts.;Object subsystem; This is a special subsystem that manages the data of all the insured or claim objects in the system with no duplicates. The object separation is based on the attributes necessary to describe them. The following insured object types are distinguished in INSIS.; Insured persons. Physical or legal entities which are object of an insurance contract. ; Properties. Buildings, furniture, machinery, etc. ; Cars. Cars, trucks, bus, motorbikes, tractors, and other transport vehicles.; Ships. Ships, yachts, boats etc.; Cargo. Goods during transportation. ; Liabilities.; Products.; Agriculture. ; Life stock.; Etc.;Each of the objects can participate in one or more insurance contracts and in each contract it could be with different insured value. ;The association between the insured objects and owners combined with the relations available in the customer?s subsystem and enhanced with the sophisticated retrieval methods available gives an efficient tool for fraud detection.;Product management; The ability to develop new products quickly and dynamically is critical to the future success of insurance companies. The product is the core of INSIS. All the conditions for a type of insurance contract are specified for a product and no contract can be issued without previous product definition. As there are products described with hundreds of parameters a special subsystem is deployed for product definition.;The products in INSIS are described in a five level structure, which defines all specifics for a product. ;1. General conditions and rules ;2. Insured object types ;3. Insurance clauses (Covers) ;4. Perils ;5. Insurance events ;A number of different discounts can be defined per each cover of each product. Those discounts could be either mandatory or optional. INSIS supports multiple discounts per cover and various ways of combining them. ;Using the product subsystem special products involving preferential conditions could be designed for slicing the market based on various criteria - customer profession, geographical region, average income, etc.;The organization of the product subsystem allows the Insurance Company to easily create various products and to offer multi-product insurance policies for small and medium sized companies, e.g. Fire+Transportation+Business interruption+Product liability+etc. Other multi-line products can be designed for families, etc, ;The average time for creation of a new insurance product is 10 - 15 days provided the pricing methods are complicated. For simpler pricing rules the product could be fully defined in INSIS, thus ready for the market in less than a week. All this with no programming at all and just tuning an appropriate set of INSIS parameters. ;For product definition purposes only INSIS handles more than 2000 parameters giving the possibility to pre
