SIRCON (The State Insurance Regulators Connection) is an Internet service that allows insurance companies and other insurance organizations to conduct business with state insurance regulatory departments on-line and in real time. SIRCON allows insurance companies to quickly and easily process appointments; perform service requests (e.g., address change, request for duplicate license or letter of certification); obtain management reports; and, make inquiries regarding a producer's status. In addition, SIRCON offers a PIN Gateway, allowing subscribers to perform transactions with additional state regulatory departments through the NAIC's Producer Information Network (PIN).;SIRCON services are currently available for Arkansas, California, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wyoming. PIN services are currently available for Iowa, Missouri, and Virginia. More states and services will be added in 2000, including the ability to submit license applications on-line.
