SlipManager supports all types and classes of business, such as Facultative, Treaty, Excess of Loss, Line Slip or Binding Authority business, whether on a Direct or Reinsurance basis., Because of the total integration between functions within SlipManager, data captured while servicing the normal functions of Underwriting, Claims, Accounting and Cash, are used to automatically update records , The Participants System: automatically calculates all outwards Reinsurances placed on a Quota Share, Surplus, Fac Oblig basis etc. to produce technical and cash statements, ready for onward transmission to the reinsurer or the placing broker. , LIRMA: The system takes full advantage of electronic media, via the London Insurance Market Network (LIMNET), for data transfer of LIRMA signings. , DTI: (Department of Trade and Industry). All relevant insurance forms are automatically produced for DTI reporting. , Underwriting, Mid-term amendments or adjustments and renewals, as well as cancellations, NTUs etc. catered for. , Policy Search and Enquiry: Policies can be enquired upon directly or via the search facilities provided e.g. the Insured Name.Within this facility individual premiums or claims transactions can be directly accessed. , Risk and History Enquiries: For each master record there is a summary record giving totals by currency, plus an overall total in the main reporting currency for premium and claims type. It is possible to view each individual item included in the total. , For certain classes of business (Treaties), the system provides both individual Year Results figures and all previous year results, displaying five individual years per screen., In calculating and displaying results, SlipManager also takes into consideration the latest position with regard to Outstanding Claims Reserves. , Claims, Comprehensive claims servicing. From the initial capture of claims data at the date of notification, through to payments, receipts and increases or reductions in Reserves. Input to the claims system can be via either purpose-designed screens or electronic media. , Reinsurance recoveries. SlipManager can be linked to City Computers RECOVER for recoveries under a company's own reinsurance program. , Claims movements and catastrophe aggregations are available on-line and as printed reports. , Claims histories display details of a claim as at any given date i.e.. The system rolls-back data, to accurately reflect the true picture. , Accounts, Comprehensive accounting system covering: Brokers Ledgers, Outwards Reinsurance Ledgers, Cash & Banking and General Ledger. , Brokers Ledgers: An account is kept per broker, per bureau, for both current and deferred transactions. Deferred items are automatically released to the current accounts on the due dates. Broker current accounts are maintained by currency and settlement week signings. , Cash and Banking: the system maintains, on-line in real time, bank balances by currency and per bank account. A full range of options is provided to service multi-currency settlement arrangements. , General Ledger: The General Ledger is a multi-currency system. It can be used either on a stand-alone basis or integrated to provide automatic postings from the Cash system and the policy system. , Reports, Three types of reporting system are available within SlipManager. , On-Line Reporting: On-line enquiry and reporting facilities are integrated at every level of the system, including on-line statistics and triangulation's. , Ad-hoc Reporting: Users may use either SQL, the industry standard for producing ad hoc enquiries/reports, or third party products which offer ODBC support e.g. Impromptu. , Batch Reporting: Standard reports are produced covering every aspect of the company's activities, as well as its corporate requirements. These reports can be produced on demand or on a periodic basis. Reports may be produced on an Underwriting Year basis, accumulative, per currency and all in Sterling, at both Gross level and Net Retained level, and also per Treaty. , Full reporting facilities are also available for: Revenue, Outwards Reinsurance, DTI, Cash, and General Ledger.
