pasCarrier provides for:;Rating and Issuance;Policy Management;Claims Management;Billing and Collections (Agency Bill, Direct Bill, Payroll Deduction);Reinsurance (Reinsurance Analysis, Billing and Collections all the way to Schedule F);Data Warehouse (Very robust way of analysing information, user friendly presentation of data;ability to slice-and-dice the data, ISO and NCCI Reporting).;pasCarrier is written for the Client/Server environment using Visual Basic 6.0, and either Oracle or SQL server 7.0 as a database. ;It is using a true three tier architecture which means that the front-end (presentation layer) is code free (tier one), the business rules are maintained in a re-usable object format (tier two) ;and the data is stored at the database level.;This provides several advantages to the end user:;1. The front-end or presentation layer it is either the desktop or the Internet.;2. The business rules objects are re-usable hence less room for errors, and mistakes.;3. The front-end (presentation layer) can change without worrying about testing the business rules because one is independent of the other.;The systems are all modular in design so they may be maintained and enhanced effectively. Each module is designed to interact with the user in a consistent manner. All menus and function keys behave the same way regardless of the pasCarrier module you are in. Company parameters ;and business rules are stored in User maintained tables for easy and timely maintenance and update.
