Apogee is an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system which consists of 16 modules divided into families of products: accounting, distribution, manufacturing, and project accounting. These modules are available in both character and graphical user interfaces (GUI), in English and in French, based on the user preference. The heart of the system is the project accounting module which allows you to track the profitability of your projects or events by activity or tasks. You can budget your project down to the activity level then compare to actuals. The projects can be billed by time and material, periodic, or in advance with automatic revenue recognition. The work in process is posted to the general ledger and activities can be charged at a fixed rate or cost plus up to 2 markup rates. This is integrated to the rest of the system for receivables, payables, payroll (American and Canadian), and general ledger postings. The inventory, sales, and purchasing modules also interface to the project module. The system provides advanced features such as: multi warehouse and bin inventory, multi company and automatic inter-company entries, multi currency with automatic profit and loss, realised and unrealised, on exchange. The modules can operate on their own but provide much more functionality when used in conjunction with the others to take advantage of the integration.
