Additional Product Information
Fourth Shift enables manufacturers to do business with customers around the world in multiple languages and currencies, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The system supports all phases of customer management from initial contact through after-sale customer service. The Sales Order Processing component supports rules-based pricing structures, verifies available to promise, and handles high-speed, high volume order entry. Manufacturers can allocate on-hand or in-process inventory to specific customers on a priority basis. Custom products can be quickly configured at the time of order entry. The e-Customer Center allows customers to securely place orders over the Internet as well as review product availability and track the status of orders. Customer-specific online catalogs let manufacturers offer special promotions, volume discounts, and pre-negotiated pricing on a customer-by-customer basis. Customers receive real-time delivery commitments based on current production schedules and demands. My Fourth Shift Workplace, a web-based user interface to the ERP system, speeds up customer service by allowing manufacturers to set up role-based portals to view related data from Fourth Shift together with other applications and Internet web sites. A role-based portal for a customer service representative can contain frames that display the order entry form together with carrier-specific tracking information, invoices, payments, and order status. Because the frames are contextually linked, selecting a different customer order triggers the linked frames to update their data to reflect the change. The system provides full RMA tracking capabilities for handling returns and repairs. The ERP backbone integrated with CRM functionality enables manufacturers to develop strong relationships with their customers, and anticipate and meet customer demand. The integration of information throughout the company streamlines operations from design through production leading to faster time to market, greater cost controls, and a higher level of customer satisfaction.
