C2SS/UIS - THE WEBBASED ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION SYSTEM:::
Without the help of information technology the complex connections between different influence factors on the environment like air, water, waste, emission, immission or radiation can nowadays no longer be satisfactorily and securely evaluated. C2SS/UIS makes the registration, analysis and evaluation of environmental data possible in order to evaluate and prove it. Already today the employment of energy or other raw material and acting according to the increasing number of official environment regulations like e.g. waste disposal are an important risk and cost factor for every company. C2SS/UIS helps the management to act according to the wide range of environmental aspects. The information that is collected in C2SS/UIS makes the connections between the various influence factors and the environmental impact understandable.
AUTOMATIC AND MANUAL DATA REGISTRATION
With the help of C2SS/UIS own functions as well as interfaces with external applications or data sources can be created. The manual data registration is being done on forms that are individually created by the user.
FACILITY MEASUREMENT UNITS
A central constituent of C2SS/UIS is the administration of facilities that could potentially serve as sources for environmental data and their summarisation in the register of facilities. Parameter types, materials, units as well as limit and recommended values and are defined and applied to the different facilities.
TOPOGRAPHIC MAPS
C2SS/UIS provides true to scale topographic maps with information on the surroundings of e.g. a plant down to street and house numbers as well as facilities such as wells, pits or pumps. Furthermore, C2SS/UIS can link environmental data with the registered facilities e.g. with the help of site-related plans of plants or topographic maps. The data is accessible and usable in all C2SS/UIS modules.

WASTE WATER
The module waste water serves needs of administration of waste water systems such as waste water releasing points, measuring points and waste water treatment plants. The registration of waste water data allows the calculation and tracing of volume flow rate, concentration of material and pollution load. This may serve as evidence of measures taken in order to reduce harmful substances and of economical water consumption.
GROUND WATER
The module ground water offers an overview of all ground water observation wells including the registered data. Measured values and conditions are registered and used for later analysis, calculation or visualisation. With the help of registered data as well as data that is integrated through interfaces in the system a visualisation of ground water pollution, ground water levels and ground water flow direction is possible.
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS
The module hazardous materials serves the administration of stored or used hazardous materials. Substances or materials registered in C2SS/UIS can be declared hazardous materials at any time. Reports on transport, distribution, amount and potential of individual hazardous materials are made possible.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION OFFICER
C2SS/UIS is a constituent of environmental protection and an indispensable instrument for the environmental protection officer of a company. The module environmental protection officer supports the planning and analysis and forms a basis for reporting, auditing and management decisions.
