Purchasing On-line provides the time and information necessary to ;negotiate prices, reduce inventory, and improve quality. The system ;eliminates redundant data entry and internal expediting by allowing;requisitions to be converted to purchase orders and their status to be;viewed from any terminal. Three levels of Approval are provided. A powerful ;commodity coding scheme is used to drive analysis routines that suggest items for ;stock or supply chain orders. Vendor analysis reports track on-time ;performance and noncompliance. A graphical user interface with internet;capability is provided, and both Fax and EDI are also supported.
