PP2000 is a PC-based system for production planning with a graphical user interface. The system mimics a planning board and contains functions to forecast production needs and gives a good overview of the production situation. The planner can simulate the planned production situation and can add, change and remove production orders. A key function is an autoplan tool where the system itself can optimize production plans. PP2000's main qualities are overview, speed and consequence.
* Overview - the planner has a good overview of the items to be planned through a number of graphical information screens.
* Speed - planning and replanning is made rapidly. A production planner can typically replan in a couple of minutes.
* Consequence - the planner is able to see the consequences of a modified plan. PP2000 does an MRP on the fly, plans are made and the planner can immediately see what is required from other steps in the production process. PP2000 operate in conjunction with most ERP-systems on the market e.g. SAP R/3, Intentia Movex, IBS, ASW and others.
