Slingshot's eCity-Plan delivers a proven patented planning system that maintains a supply plan for every item in each location, incorporating current customer orders, supplier order and sales forecasts. Changes to supply or demand trigger messages to a dedicated web server, where the change is evaluated and if necessary, action is taken. Orders can be opened automatically, or through a message to an internal planner or a trading partner. ePlan allows you to automatically communicate alert notices via email, EDI or XML to any trading partner. For example, you can automatically alert your supplier when a receipt is past due and request a new arrival date. The supplier's reply automatically updates the receipt date and triggers plan recalculation. In addition, ePlan provides pinpoint precision in material planning by using a combination of "bucket-less" forecasting with complete flexibility in definition of time spans.
