The Chameleon CIMS uses wireless and bar coding technologies to allow a completely paperless operation. On receipt, each container is tagged with a label having a unique identifier. From then on, all movement and use of that container is identified by scanning that identifier.

Control Measure (Fume Hood, etc) and PPE determination (per intended use) based on user-defined rules. These rules can be based on:
the HMIS values for the product.
daily, weekly, and yearly exposure times
amount of material that will be used
availability of a particular Control Measure for the Area
When Chameleon is unable to determine the Control Measure and PPE for a particular intended use, the Safety Department is automatically notified.
Tracks containers throughout the disposal process.
Special pre-weigh staging function optimizes Tow Motor Operator time. Deadheading is eliminated by allowing him to return items no longer needed in the staging area to stock.
Shelf can capability. The CIMS tracks the use of shelf cans. It insures that shelf cans are refilled according the corporate SOPs.
