Colour Matters CM-32

1. Overview
CM-32 was designed to give the fashion / apparel designer a new level of directness and productivity.Older-styled CAD software was either too complex and cumbersome to operate for the busy commercial apparel designer, or lacking in fabric oriented features to give us a high level of automation when dealing with printed, woven, or knitted fabrics.
We aimed to give the designer unobtrusive but yet extremely power tools, to enable the designer to process multiple colourways, involving any type of fabric, for multiple styles per working day.
In order for this to happen, we made sure that every graphic command represents doing things in the most direct way possible, with the absolute minimum no.of mouse clicks and the minimum amount of hand movement.
This directness made CM-32 the most productive, and probably the easiest to learn CAD system around.
2. Modular
CM-32 comes in 4 modules:
• Base Module: for easy visualization of alternative colourways for all types of scanned in fabrics (prints, wovens and knitted fabrics included).
Very good for prints development, and also general storyboards
design.
• Wovens Module: for designing woven plaids and stripes. Create sophisticated woven plaids designs within seconds, and see them in all kinds of woven structures instantly.
• Knits Module: the Knits module offers our characteristic ease of use, and gives us output options to tie in with production.
• Drape Module: create draped images for cataloguing, within a few minutes !
3. A Variety of Product Levels
We offer our customers a variety of product levels: our Version 3 CM-32 Modules are 40% lower in price than their Version 4 (our latest version) counterparts.
Whether you choose Ver 3 or Ver 4 as your starting product, you can save 20% by opting for the plug-in version (plug-ins are available currently for Adobe Photoshop and Corel PHOTO-PAINT).
Upgrading is straightforward and painless, just pay the price levels’ difference to upgrade; there is no time limit or price penalty.
4. Colour Management
CM-32 offers an intuitive Colour Cards system, through which we can organize our colours, complete with Pantone or user-defined colour names, by Season, Client, etc.
There are two printable colour libraries: Pantone Textiles (simulation) and a RGB Colour Library.
Our Colour Finder facility enables us to quickly (usually within 10 minutes) locate a target colour on any printer.
5. CM-32 Base Module
Tonal Colour Change: when a motif or fabric is scanned in using a scanner, we usually end up with a true colour image that consists of hundreds of thousands, sometimes millions, of shades.
Older CAD software and some off-the-shelf software expect us to either colour group the image (thereby losing the fabric effects and “3D” look) or otherwise do intricate framing runs
in order to change a certain colour group within the image.
CM-32’s Tonal Colour Change facility enables us to quickly
effect colour changes, without having to colour reduce or do any intricate framing.
Storyboards Features: Sketching tools include all common geometric tools, plus tools that create a variety of Top Stitch effects.
Pattern Fills and Rotated Pattern Fills come with controllable
drops or shifts support.
Prints Design Features: Features for designing prints include automatic colour reduction, repeats design with user-controllable drops or shifts, auto-smoothening, cloning, automatic stray dots clean-up, colour separation.

Stamp-On any Fabric Effect:Scan in any fabric effect or texture, and apply it to your designs ! Want to see and show your design in pique, brushed, or in satin ? no problem ! all these are just a few mouse clicks away !
Want to Keep Changing Your Mind ?: No problem ! our easy to use Layered Mode would maintain different types of things on different layers, so that you can come back and change things around without having to re-do things.

6. CM-32 Weave Module
Our Weave Module gives us the power to design intricate woven plaids in minutes, without having to deal with production data that only a professional weave designer can understand, and yet gives us hundreds of choices of weave structure effects.
If you have to work with a significant no. of plaid designs in many trial colourways within a short space of time, CM-32’s Weave Module will be an invaluable design and visualization/presentation tool.
7. CM-32 Knits Module
Our world-renowned Knits Module combines ease of use with total support for the technical side of knitted products design.
Ver 4 now boasts a brand new, 3D, knit structures library.
