Additional Product Information
DNC4000® is a modern DNC system, based on Internet technology. DNC4000® was developed with the experience of hundreds of networked CNC machines. Its main characteristics are:;- Safe program transfer using modern networking techniques ;- CNC program access from the keyboard of the CNC control, without ;use of terminals.;- Flexible program storage and handling, requiring a minimum of human;intervention, configurable to the needs of the customer.;DNC4000® is a combination of hardware and tightly integrated software, using modern networking media (Ethernet, Token Ring) coupled with the software standards of the Internet technology (TCP/IP, FTP, etc.).;DNC4000® caters to the needs of the small job shop with only a few CNC machines, as well as large companies. It can be used with the current as well as future machine tools. All machines equipped with a serial interface can be connected using the specialized Quinx DNC-In-The-Box® Ethernet adapter, as can all new machines that already are fitted with an Ethernet card. ;Data transfers via network; The use of the TCP/IP protocol ensures 100% error free data transfer, all the way into the cabinet of the controller where the network adapter is placed. This avoids expensive machine damage caused by faulty or lost data, even if transferred at the maximum speed the the CNC control can handle.;User friendly data management;DNC4000® manages all NC programs according to the needs of the users. Programs can be stored using embedded IDs (e.g. a combination of machine#,customer#, part#, etc.) or the standard NC programs numbers. Only exceptions to the workflow need to be handled by the user, all normal daily transactions are completed automatically. The system allows for comparisons between original and duplicate CNC programs. Programs can be edited, deleted or changed with a simple click of the mouse.
