PowerRoute is a power grid editing and routing solution. It was designed to specifically solve the known problems with today's commercial P&R tools (floating metal, min width jogs, missing or dropped vias). What you see on the screen prior to routing is what you will get after PowerRoute has completed the routing; there are no hidden surprises.;Other IR drop analysis tools have no control over the power router and the designer goes through many long iterations of "Route Power Grid - IR Analysis - Find Problems - Re-Route Power Grid - Re-Analyze for IR Drop ...". PowerRoute is offered as a standalone tool and as an option to both PowerPlanner and RealPower to eliminate these typically long iterative cycles.
