CIMserv
CIMserv is CCI's set of highly configurable tools to provide real-time and historical/statistical process data services in a distributed Computer Integrated Manufacturing environment. CIMserv operates on open and scalable UNIX and Windows NT systems in a Local Area Network environment to provide process information to plant desktop PC users over the LAN. Data is distributed in formats compatible with a variety of PC Windows applications. CIMserv provides the middleware linkage between the highly proprietary real-time process data layer (DCS, PLC, legacy minis, etc.) and the very open and adaptable LAN PC desktop environment.
