The eCity-Make module is a flexible Manufacturing Execution System that controls the flow and assembly of components into finished items. Work orders can be opened to satisfy an immediate requirement or as part of the supply plan managed automatically by eCity-Plan. eCity-Make provides transaction support for both internal assembly operations and outside contractors. The lines between manufacturing and distribution have blurred as more value added processing is performed in the warehouse. Kit building, assembly, packaging, labeling and product configuration are common value added processes in today's supply chain. Many of these processes are increasingly performed by subcontractors who receive material on consignment, perform an operation and return a different part. eCity-Make uses the power of the Internet to schedule, coordinate and track these processes.
