plcVIEW is a visualization and control system for runtime data of automation systems. The data is presented on grid-style worksheets similar to Microsoft Excel. Even data from different target systems can be visualized on a single worksheet. In addition to that runtime data can be modified during the visualization. A integrated data source manager help the user to connect the system via OPC or proprietary protocolls to different target systems. A tag browser receives/obtains "tags" from a driver, i.e. available PLC-data of a data source. From the tag browser the user can drag&drop tags into a worksheet, entering formulas and macros in cells. After creating the worksheet(s) the visualization can be started by pressing the run mode button.
Additionally the grid-style worksheet can use ready-made macros that perform commands and/or steps in run mode. These commands and steps depend on the used macros. The integrated macro editor will support the user by developing own macros in Microsoft VBScript.
